
Dr. Archana Tiwari
Economist | Academic | Researcher on Tourism and Culture
Dr. Archana Tiwari is an experienced academic, economist, and researcher with a strong background
in higher education, teaching innovation, and socio-economic research. Her academic work focuses
on connecting economic theory with social realities, tourism, culture, and public policy, with
an emphasis on developing students’ analytical, intellectual, and practical capabilities.
She earned her PhD in Economics from Kanpur University in 2015, after completing her M.A. and B.A.
in Economics from the same institution. Her early education was completed under the Uttar Pradesh
Board, Allahabad. Her academic journey reflects a deep understanding of economics, development,
and social structures.
With nearly ten years of teaching experience, Dr. Tiwari served as Lecturer in Economics at
Sarvodaya Postgraduate College, Salon, Raebareli, from 2008 to 2018. During this period, she taught
undergraduate courses and consistently adopted innovative teaching methodologies to enhance
student engagement and learning outcomes.
Her pedagogy integrates data-driven analysis, participatory learning, simulations, role-plays,
mock elections, and entrepreneurship-based activities. She actively encouraged students to
develop business plans, analytical thinking, and practical skills, fostering innovation and
self-reliance. She has also effectively used digital tools such as PowerPoint, Prezi, and iMovie
to strengthen academic communication.
Dr. Tiwari is known for her balanced approach combining leadership, problem-solving, clear
communication, and teamwork. She presents complex economic and social concepts in a simple and
engaging manner. Her research interests in tourism, culture, and socio-economic studies add
academic depth and policy insight to interdisciplinary platforms, including her contributions
to the Global Girmitiya Council.
